We have been working on ground-breaking electronic solutions from our Northallerton base since 1965.  Our origins included design and manufacture of textile control machinery, through to many oil and gas applications and even a custom built chocolate temperature monitoring instrument for Rowntrees down the road in York, plenty of years ago! Today we continue to embrace tradition and innovation through a diverse range of applications and industries.

Mowden Controls Limited continues to be very much a family business.  Started in 1965 by entrepreneur, Lewis Williams and engineer, Vince Ellington, the business was then joined by the son and daughter of Lewis Williams: Stephen Williams in 1993 as our Managing Director, followed by Elizabeth Barber as Sales Director in the early 2000’s.  Along with Technical Director Neil Maclean, with his 40 years+ experience at Mowden and very much part of the ‘extended family’,they have enabled the company to continue to flourish and enjoy record growth today.
